Blogmas Day 3: Beauty Gift Guide

Welcome to the third day of Blogmas! Today I thought I’d talk you through my beauty gift guide! Now these are just my personal picks, I tried to do a good mix of budget, high end, makeup, skin care etc. so there would theoretically be something for everyone! Now while you read on, I’ll be online shopping because writing this is giving me a yen to shop! Like I need a bloody excuse. Also I have to apologise in advance for my overuse of ‘perfect gift’ and ‘must have gift’, I haven’t yet realised that I’m not a presenter on a shopping channel….

Makeup Revolution is one of my all time favourite makeup brands. I’ve loved them ever since I bought my first eyeshadow palette from them way back when. They do an amazing range of stuff at absolutely banging prices and they’ve come out with several Christmas gift sets but my fave has to be this gorgeous strobe set. I’ll confess that I’ve never gotten the contouring hype but strobing? Oh mama do I love me some highlight. This HD pro strobe gift set would be perfect for someone just as glow obsessed as me. It comes with a strobe palette, two brushes and a strobe stick. Everything you need to get that highlight that can be seen from space!

Now this is the motherload of all Makeup Revolution gift sets. Including TWELVE of Makeup Revolution's most hyped products and some new additions for 2017, this storage chest is a must for any makeup lover, I’ve got heart eyes just typing this! According to the TAM Beauty website it contains: 1x Eye Primer, 1x Aqua Priming Base, 1x Strobe Cream, 1x Lipgloss Set, 1x Pro Go Mini Brush Set, 1x Pro Fixing Spray, 1x Blush Palette, 1x Strobe Palette, 1x Brow Palette & 3x Eyeshadow Palettes. Damn! I want this under my tree on Christmas morning! Even though I own a few of the products included already, they’re so fab I wouldn’t mind having a few spares! And it’s also great value, priced at £35 and with twelve products that’s roughly £2.92 per product if my questionable math skills are to be relied upon. Which is a bloody bargain if you ask me. Perfect gift for a makeup enthusiast as it combines great quality products with a cheap as chips pricepoint.

Who doesn’t love Soap & Glory? Well if they don’t, they’re mad! I love their bath and shower stuff! I got a Sugar Crush gift set for Christmas last year and holy mother it was amazing. The smell of the products were positively addictive. I loved them so much that Hand Food has become a permanent fixture in my handbag. Now this set is the original scent but it’s just as lush as the sugar crush! This set contains: Clean On Me shower gel (My personal favourite *heart eyes*), The Scrub Of Your Life body scrub, The Righteous Butter body butter, Hand Food hand cream, Heel Genius foot cream and a headband & a showerpuff. Perfect treat for a DIY post Christmas spa day, am I right?

Yes it’s another bath & body set but I had to include something from Ted Baker. Last Christmas I bought my Mum the Boots Ted Baker star gift which was full of bath and body stuff, so naturally as the year went on I had a sneaky try of some of the products. Good lord were they good! The body lotion especially! So when I saw this set on Boots, it jumped onto my list for this blog post. Containing one body lotion, one hand cream, one bubble bath, one body wash, one body spray and one soap, this set is just heaven for those who love a wee pamper session.

I am so glad that theBalm rereleased this little gem of a set! If you didn’t know, Mary Lou-manizer by theBalm is one of the most hyped about highlighters ever to exist. When I first started watching Youtube in 2011 it was the only highlighter that anyone talked about. And it is worth the hype, believe me! This palette has the aforementioned Mary Lou-maniser which is the most perfect champagne shade, Cindy Lou-manizer which is more of a pinky rose and Betty Lou-manizer which is a golden shimmery highlight. Covers all the bases and would be perfect for a make up artist to have in their kit but in general it’s just a good palette to have! I’ve read that Cindy Lou-manizer is really pretty as a blush as well so it’s multi-functional! Plus Debenhams have it on discount right now too so it’d make a really good stocking filler.

If you know someone who’s always wanted to try some Benefit makeup but has never actually bit the bullet then this set is for them. It contains all the cult fave box powders: Hoola bronzer, Rockateur blush, Coralista blush, Dandelion blush, Sugarbomb blush, along with a Watt’s Up cream highlighter and the They’re Real liner and mascara. Basically all the Benefit heavy hitters in one gift set. Benefit always bring it with their Christmas collection and this set is no exception.

Any makeup lover will have this palette on their wishlist I’m sure. The Naked palettes are extremely popular and while I love my Naked Smoky this palette speaks to me on another level. Comprised of twelve neutral all matte shades, this palette is a good makeup staple to have in your collection as it’ll be able to give you any look whether it be nice and natural or smoky as.
This is one for the skincare lovers out there. Emma Hardie’s cleansing balm is a cult favourite on the skincare circuit and this gift set contains that and many more of her best products with the gorgeous cleansing cloths. I’ve never tried any of the Emma Hardie range but I’ve heard and read so many good things that I don’t feel any doubt in recommending them.

This might be my absolute favourite thing on this entire list. So for Christmas this year Beauty Bay have brought out their own collection of makeup swag bags. Ranging in price from £18 to £60 these bags cover different looks and contain some of Beauty Bay’s most popular brands such as Makeup Geek, Gerard Cosmetics, Morphe Brushes etc. I think there’s thirteen different bags for sale so there’s bound to be something to suit everyone! The one that really caught my eye was ‘The Heroes’ in Dark. It has an original Beauty Blender, a Morphe buffer brush, an Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, an Eyeko eyeliner and a Makeup Geek eyeshadow. It’s basically a who’s who of cult products! And they all come in a black leather makeup pouch which is just gorgeous.

I hope I gave you some shopping inspiration for some present buying or for something to treat yourself to! Are any of these on your Christmas list this year? Let me know in the comments!
