Soph X Makeup Revolution Review + Look

For Blogtober Day 2 I am collaborating with my gorgeous friend Hayley from WearAHalo so please do nip over and give her blog some love! She's a wonderful photographer and her blog photography makes me green with envy! We've teamed up to do a makeup look and review post with the highly anticipated Soph x Makeup Revolution palette!

Now when Sophie aka sophdoesnails announced that she was releasing palettes with Makeup Revolution, I was over the bloody moon! I'm a massive fan of Sophie's channel! She caters to a much younger audience than me but the girl has got amazing skills. She's so lovely, sweet and funny that her videos are a joy to watch. The fact that she's predominantly an affordable makeup channel also makes her a firm favourite because there's nothing more sickening to me lately than watching makeup videos where products are extortionately expensive and I have no hope of affording them!

Veering back to the point! Sophie has released two palettes with Makeup Revolution, one of my all time favourite makeup brands! A highlight palette and an eyeshadow palette.

Today I will be focusing on the eyeshadow palette! I'll review the highlight palette another day!

It's a bloody gorgeous palette with a wonderful range of shades and the packaging is to die for! Peach and rose gold? A blogger's dream! I can see this becoming a palette that I reach for every day. There are so many eye looks you could do with this palette! The possibilities are endless!

Disclaimer: When writing this blog post, after I had taken the photos, I realised I forgot to get a photo of the shade names! Blogger fail! So I took a quick screenshot from Soph's announcement video! Sorry for dropping the ball 🙈

Hayley decided to do a night look while I opted for day. I know this is going to cause divided opinon as lots wouldn't wear this look in the daytime but I wanted to create a wearable daytime slightly smoky look. With a little bit of sheen on the lid! I hope you like it nevertheless!

I took Cuppa Tea as my all over transition colour then I packed Tiramisu on the outer corner and blended it lower in the crease. I finished off by pressing Fairy Lights onto my lid with my ring finger.

I'm really happy with how the look turned out! This palette was a joy to use. You have to build the matte shades up a little but they're so pigmented for the price point. This look took me ten minutes, with three colours and three eyeshadow brushes! You could even do it with two I reckon!

Do you have this palette? What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
